지난해 한국에서 태어난 아이들의 기대수명이 82.7세라는 추정치가 나왔습니다.
Last year, the estimation of life expectancy of children born in Korea was 82.7 years old.

출생아의 기대수명이 전년보다 0.9년 떨어졌는데 통계 작성을 시작한 이후 기대수명이 줄어든 것은 이번이 처음입니다.
The life expectancy of newborns fell by 0.9 years from the previous year, and this is the first time that life expectancy has decreased since statistics began to be compiled.

이번에 한국 신생아의 기대수명이 줄어든 것은 신종 코로나바이러스 감염증으로 인해 사망 확률이 증가한 탓입니다.
This decrease in life expectancy of Korean newborns is due to an increase in the probability of death due to the new coronavirus infection.

한국인들의 사망 확률은 암, 심장 질환 다음으로 코로나19로 인한 사망이 높았습니다.
The probability of death among Koreans from COVID-19 was second only to cancer and heart diseases.

다만 경제협력개발기구(OECD)와 비교해보면 한국 남성과 여성 모두 평균보다 높은 수준을 유지하고 있었습니다.

: 영국 임페리얼칼리지런던 연구진은 2030년이면 한국인의 기대수명이 세계에서 가장 높을 것이라고 예측했습니다. 연구결과에 따르면 2030년 남성의 기대수명이 가장 높은 5개국은 한국(84.1세), 호주(84.0세), 스위스(84.0세), 캐나다(83.9세), 네덜란드(83.7세) 순이었습니다. 반면 여성의 경우 한국(90.8세), 프랑스(88.6세), 일본(88.4세), 스페인(88.1세), 스위스(87.7세) 순이었습니다.

: Researchers at Imperial College London predicted that Koreans will have the highest life expectancy in the world by 2030. According to the research results, the five countries with the highest male life expectancy in 2030 were Korea (84.1 years), Australia (84.0 years), Switzerland (84.0 years), Canada (83.9 years), and the Netherlands (83.7 years). On the other hand, for women, it was Korea (90.8 years old), France (88.6 years old), Japan (88.4 years old), Spain (88.1 years old), and Switzerland (87.7 years old).
