올해 세계에서 가장 많이 검색된 레시피가 한국의 비빔밥으로 나타났습니다.
This year, the most searched recipe in the world appeared as Korea’s bibimbap.

지난 12일 구글이 공개한 올해 검색어 순위에 따르면 레시피 부문에서 ‘비빔밥’이 글로벌 1위를 차지했습니다.
According to this year's search word rankings released by Google on the 12th, ‘bibimbap’ ranked No. 1 in the recipe category.

비빔밥은 밥에 여러 나물을 넣고 고추장에 비벼 먹는 전통 한국 요리로 외국인들의 많은 사랑을 받고 있습니다.
Bibimbap is a traditional Korean dish that is eaten with various vegetables in rice and mixed with red pepper paste, and is loved by foreigners.

한국식 샐러드라고도 불리며 채식주의자들에게 인기가 많고 항공기 기내식으로도 자주 등장하는 메뉴입니다.
It is also called a Korean style salad and is popular with vegetarians and often appears as an in-flight meal.

올해 많이 검색된 레시피로 ‘비빔밥’ 외에도’마늘 장아찌’, ‘굴무침’, ‘파김치’, ‘수육’ 등도 있었습니다.

① 비빔밥은 어떻게 만들어졌나요?
: 한국은 농사를 짓는 나라였습니다. 농사일이 바쁜 시기에는 제대로 밥과 반찬을 갖춰 먹기 힘들었죠. 그래서 자연스럽게 밥에 반찬을 부어서 한번에 들고 나가는 비빔밥의 형식이 시작되었다는 이야기가 유력합니다. 

① How is bibimbap made?
: Korea used to be a farming country. During the busy farming periods, it was difficult to eat proper food and side dishes. So, naturally, the way of pouring all the side dishes into rice and taking it out all at once as bibimbap began and this story is the most likely origin of bibimbap.

② 비빔밥이 유명한 전주(Jeonju)
:  전주의 한 비빔밥 식당이 유명해지면서 전주의 비빔밥이 인기를 끌었습니다. 현재까지 전주의 비빔밥 식당 중 가장 오래된 곳은 ‘한국집’입니다. 1953년부터 비빔밥을 판매하고 있다고 합니다. 

② Jeonju, famous for bibimbap
:  As a bibimbap restaurant in Jeonju became popular, Jeonju’s bibimbap became widely known. To date, the oldest bibimbap restaurant in Jeonju is 'Hangugjib'. It has been selling bibimbap since 1953.
