한국의 대표적인 문화재 ‘경복궁’의 담벼락이 스프레이 낙서로 훼손되는 사건이 일어났습니다.

경찰은 범인을 잡기 위해 수사하고 있지만 인근의 CCTV가 부족해 어려움을 겪고 있습니다.

한국의 법에 따르면 문화재를 훼손하는 경우 5년 이하의 징역이나 5000만원 이하의 벌금을 받을 수 있습니다.

배경지식 Background

① 경복궁
: 경복궁은 1392년 조선이 세워지고 다음해인 1393년에 완성된 궁궐입니다. 왕이 생활하는 궁으로 사용되다가 전쟁으로 훼손된 이후에는 사용되지 않았습니다. 이후 조선 말기에 경복궁을 고쳐 잠시 다시 궁궐로 사용되었고 1963년에 문화재로 지정되었습니다.

: Gyeongbokgung Palace is a palace that was completed in 1393, the year after Joseon was established in 1392. It was used as a palace where the king lived, but was no longer used after being damaged by war.
