미국 뉴욕타임즈의 로레타 찰턴 에디터는 서울에서 아기를 낳고 산후조리원을 간 경험을 기사로 소개했습니다. 
Loretta Charlton, editor of the New York Times, wrote an article to introduce her experience going to a postpartum care center after giving birth to a baby in Seoul.

산후조리원은 아기를 낳은 후 여성들이 몸을 회복하기 위해 가는 곳으로 평균 2주 동안 지냅니다. 
A postpartum care center is a place where women go to recover after giving birth to a baby and stay for an average of two weeks.

산후조리원에서는 아기를 낳은 엄마들이 충분히 쉴 수 있도록 아기를 대신 돌봅니다. 
The postpartum care center takes care of the baby instead so that mothers who gave birth can get enough rest.

엄마들은 마사지를 받거나 아기를 잘 키우기 위해 필요한 수업을 듣기도 합니다.

: 한국을 포함한 아시아권은 아기를 낳은 후 엄마의 몸 관리가 회복에 중요하다는 인식을 가지고 있습니다. 한국은 산부인과와 독립되어 운영하는 산후조리원 문화를 세계에서 유일하게 가지고 있습니다. 산후조리원의 서비스 수준에 따라 2주에 300만원부터 2000만원까지 비용을 지불해야 합니다.

: Asian countries, including Korea, recognize that mothers' physical care is important for recovery after giving birth to a baby. Korea is the only country in the world that has a culture of postpartum care centers operated independently of obstetrics and gynecology.
