Korean government “Stop smoking”

한국 정부가 지나치게 많은 드라마 속 흡연 장면에 대해 비판했습니다. 
The Korean government criticized too many scenes of smoking in dramas.

한국 국민들의 건강과 안전에 관한 일을 하는 보건복지부는 2월 5일부터 11일에 열린 WTO 총회에 참석했습니다. 
The Ministry of Health and Welfare, which is responsible for the health and safety of Korean citizens, attended the WTO Ministerial Conference, which was held from Feb. 5-11.

한국 정부는 이곳에서 유튜브나 넷플릭스의 영상 속 흡연 장면을 줄여야 한다고 제안했습니다. 
At this place, the Korean government proposed that smoking scenes in videos on YouTube and Netflix should be reduced.

드라마 ‘더글로리’에서는 임지연이, ‘이두나!’에서는 수지, 이진욱 등이 흡연하는 장면이 나왔습니다. 
In the drama ‘The Glory’, Lim Ji-yeon, and in ‘Doona!’, Suzy and Lee Dong-wook had scenes of smoking.

이런 장면들이 나오면서 청소년, 대중들에게 담배를 노출하는 것이 흡연을 유발할 수 있다는 것입니다. 
Scenes like these show that exposing cigarettes to teenagers and the public can lead to smoking.

① 한국의 흡연율
: 한국의 성인 흡연율은 계속 줄어들고 있습니다. 한국의 흡연율은 1998년 35.1%에서 2022년 17.7%로 낮아져 현재까지 최저 수준을 보이고 있습니다. 하지만 한국의 청소년 흡연율은 2019년 4.4%, 2021년 4.5%, 2022년 4.5%로 줄어들지 않고 있습니다.

: The adult smoking rate in Korea continues to decrease. Korea's smoking rate has fallen from 35.1% in 1998 to 17.7% in 2022, showing the lowest level to date. However, Korea's youth smoking rate is not decreasing, reaching 4.4% in 2019, 4.5% in 2021, and 4.5% in 2022.
